Waste Disposal
MAY 2018
- UPDATE: THE FIRE BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED The Town of Govan has a FIRE BAN in effect as of May 9. This will be in place until further notice. This includes fire pits, fireworks, recreational fires, yard waste, or any source of ignition. Any burning will result in the Fire Department being called and the fire call out fee of $2,000 being charged to the offender.
- Please ensure that your dogs remain on your property, and we ask that owners are courteous and respectful to their neighbours regarding persistent barking.
- The nicer weather has brought an increase in ATV activity within Town limits. ATVs are unlicensed vehicles and are therefore illegally operated on Town property. This includes streets, Town property, and the golf course. We remind operators that ATVs can be a fire hazard with these dry conditions.
